Components

These are the components that we used to make this robot possible.

Component 1

Arduino Uno

Acts as the primary controller for plant watering operations, handling sensor data processing, motor control, and the overall coordination of watering tasks.

Component 1

ESP-32 Cam

Equipped with a camera module, responsible for capturing real-time images and streaming them to a web server, allowing users to remotely view the plants' condition.

Component 1

ESP-8266

Serves as the master device in the I2C communication setup, facilitating data exchange between the Arduino Uno and the web server for soil moisture data visualization.

Component 1

L293D Motor Shield

Mounted on the Arduino Uno, this motor shield controls the DC motors and servos, allowing for driving two DC motors simultaneously and managing the servos for precise watering actions.

Component 1

Soil Moisture Sensor

Placed in the soil to measure moisture levels, providing data that helps determine when the plants need watering.

Component 1

Ultrasonic Sensor

Mounted on the robot, the ultrasonic sensor detects obstacles in the robot’s path, preventing collisions and ensuring smooth navigation.

Component 1

Servo(s)

Two servos are mounted on the robot, giving the soil mositure sensor the ability to move up and down from the robot and into the soil.

Component 1

DC Motor(s)

Two DC motors are attached to the robot’s large wheels, providing the necessary propulsion for movement. These motors are controlled by the L293D motor shield.- Servos: Two servos are used to control the watering mechanism, ensuring precise delivery of water to the plants.

Component 1

Li-ion Batteries

Providing a reliable and efficient power source, enabling the robot to operate autonomously for extended periods.

Component 1

Wheel(s)

Two large wheels driven by DC motors provide the main propulsion for the robot.- Small Wheels: Additional smaller wheels ensure stability and maneuverability, allowing the robot to navigate different terrains effectively.
